Add/Remove Staff


To add a new staff person to your Amion staffing roster:

  1. Open your schedule in the OnCall desktop application.

  2. Go to File / General Setup and click on the Staff tab along the top.

  3. Type in the new staff person's name and assign a staff type. Then click Add to add the person to your staffing roster. Close the General Setup window to exit.

    In the Attending scheduling platform, if you have an existing staff list (such as a spreadsheet), you may import it here. Copy (CTRL-C) your staff list and paste it (CTRL-V) into the text field under the Staff tab.

  4. Once you add the new staff person, you may add contact information and if applicable, set workload targets:

  5. Set the hire date. In the toolbar above, click on the Work Preference icon.

  6. In the Infobox window, filter for the person that has joined your group.

  7. Go to the person's first day in the schedule grid and right-click in the cell. In the pop-up menu, select Hired on this day. OnCall and Amion will then display the person in your staff list for that date moving forward.


Editing/Renaming Staff:

  1. Follow Steps 1 & 2 for adding staff.

  2. Click on the staff name which needs to be modified. A red box will appear around the name indicating it has been selected.

  3. Edit the name in the text box and you will then see a Rename button appear in place of Add. Click Rename and the new name will appear in your list of staff in the General Setup window.


Removing Staff:

In the Attending scheduling platform, deleting staff from the General Setup window removes them from the system, which will remove their past schedule data. If you have a staff person that was never used in your schedule, deleting the person in the General Setup window is the best thing to do. However, if a staff person was on the schedule and has since left your group, you will want to make the person inactive instead of deleting.

Note: In the Resident scheduling platform, schedules are separate files per academic year. Thus, you may delete staff from the General Setup window that do not belong in that academic year schedule. OnCall will not delete them from previous academic year schedules.

  1. In the toolbar above, click on the Work Preference icon.

  2. In the Infobox window, filter for the person that has or will leave your group.

  3. Go to the person's last day in the schedule grid and right-click in the cell. In the pop-up menu, select Quit on this day. OnCall will no longer display the inactive person from the quit date moving forward in your staffing roster.
